BBQ on Saturday

Sugar and spice and everything nice…like a trifole, ice cream, mini pies, hamburgers, hot dogs, mac & cheese, baked beans and various dips – that’s what BBQs are made of. I really blew my diet this weekend.

I had a great time on Saturday. My friends Ella, Cadence, and Adia came over. So did many of my aunts and uncles, grandma and grandpa, and my great aunt and uncles. You can check out the pictures and see everyone who came. We had lots of food and drinks, watched some football, and played outside. However, there was a time, way before I was born, when Mommy and Daddy had similar parties and much more beer and liquor were consumed. Yesterday, I think everyone left uncharacteristically hydrated. Perhaps Mommy and Daddy are officially old….or maybe my friends and I have contributed to this in some small way.

I went to bed a little early last night and didn’t get a chance to thank everyone for coming. It was nice to see everybody.

We had a quiet day today. Daddy took me for a walk in the morning and then again in the afternoon and I saw lots of trees and birds. Then we went inside and watched more football.

Not Fair!

I have been watching the Food Network lately because – come on people, it’s the Chubby Chronicles, do I really need a reason? Anyway, I have become intrigued with the show Everyday Italian starring Giada De Laurentiis. Here is a woman who makes bowls upon bowls of pasta each day and she must weigh 80 lbs soaking wet. Meanwhile, I have tried everything except exercise and portion control and I still can’t lose a pound. It’s not really fair but what is a girl to do. Daddy says I am still going to grow up to be a beautiful girl.

Good Eats!

On Wednesday, Mommy took me to Aunt Chiann's house where we met up with Aunt Alisa to do some cooking. I think I may have more aunts and uncles than AJ and Meadow Soprano. Oh yeah, my friends, Donnie, Luke, and Lauren were there too.

We made meatballs and tomato sauce, chicken noodle soup, chili, and pumpkin bread with chocolate chips. Wow! Daddy was so happy and ate some of everything when he got home. I do not know if there are any pictures from this day so hopefully Mommy will post them if there are any. Come to think of it, I am not sure where Mommy is right now. I never know what she is doing back there - "Mom, Meatloaf!!!!"

In the what I have learned to do this week department, my new favorite thing to do is grab my gut when I am naked. I am not sure where this thing came from but I latch onto it and give it a good pull...then I pat it for a while. Mommy says that Daddy does the same thing.

This weekend is going to be busy. We are having a BBQ at our house and all of my aunts, uncles, and friends are coming over. We are going to have lots of food and juice and we will probably watch a lot of football. We might be able to watch some other shows too if someone can wrestle the remote from Daddy.

Disclaimer: The last sentence of the second paragraph is a reference to the movie Wedding Crashers and should not in anyway be construed as a criticism of my lovely wif..I mean Mommy's parenting skills.

Fixin Things and French Fries

The Great Room project continued on Sunday as Uncle Danny, Aunt Christine, and Cousin Andrew came over for most of the day. Uncle Danny did a nice job fixing the wall, putting in the molding, and running some wires. Daddy did a nice job with the coloring book and crayons Uncle Danny brought him to keep him occupied.

Later that evening we all went to dinner - Aunt Lori came as well. At dinner, I ate FRENCH FRIES! Actually, I had been starting to eat them earlier in the week but I ate at least 4 or 5 this time. They are very tasty.

Today I had a rather non-descript day. However, I did catch some CNBC during the day while Mommy was away for a few seconds. During the segment I watched, I was rather compelled by the story the man on TV was telling regarding the potential problems associated with a weakening U.S. currency, rising commodity prices, and a leveraged consumer. I actually became a little scared about what he was saying. However, then I soiled myself and Mommy came to change me so I missed the rest of the segment and do not know how the story ended.

Saturday -Sept. 22, 2007 Daddy had a job today!

Daddy had a very important job today at Cousin Andrew's soccer game. He had to take his whistle and boss the little kids around as a sidelines coach. I think Uncle Danny did most of the work from what I heard. Daddy made Mommy and I stay home to wait for the brilliant DirectTV people. They were late for our appointment and I was under the impression they were a sandwich or two short of a full picnic basket if you know what I mean. Daddy said it was imperative that someone be home to have his HD satellite set up today. I did enjoy playing with the new fancy remote that came with the new receiver. It is gray instead of black like the old one. I just have to figure out the new buttons. I enjoy turning the volume up extremely loud when nobody is watching me.
Oh, have I mentioned I can clap my hands now? Mommy can't seem to catch me doing this new trick on camera. Maybe I will let her take a photo of this new milestone soon.
I also went to dinner with Grandma, Grandpa, Great Uncle Mike, Mommy and Daddy. Grandma let me eat 4 of her french fries to keep me occupied. The table behind us commented on how cute and fat I am. They seemed to just explode when they saw my wonderful juicy thighs. It's hard being this adorable. Just another day at the office I guess.

I like this stuff called Pineapple

Grandma Senkiewicz brought this big container of fruit over today for us to share. Daddy and Mommy gave me a piece of pineapple to chew on. I sucked on it and loved it! Daddy can't resist my chubby cheeks and gave me a kiss. I get lots of kisses all day long. Who could resist? (You might notice I am trying to reach for the container because I saw some of the strawberries are covered in nice chocolate. Mommy and Daddy seemed to eat those quickly and didn't give me any)!

My puppy gives big kisses

I have discovered the art of picking grass and trying to eat it. Mr. Monty is always there to give me nice kisses while I try to eat the grass. I guess his tongue is like a bath for my face.

The last picture is me trying spaghetti with tomato sauce for the first time. As you can see I am not sure about the taste of this messy stuff.

Cousin Andrew tried to eat my Doritos!

Uncle Danny and Cousin Andrew came over to help with the wall project again. Uncle Danny knows how to do this stuff, unlike Daddy. The next thing I knew Mommy had given Cousin Andrew a bag of Doritos to eat!!! I took them back and chewed on the bag.

September 15, 2007 Saturday - Mr. Monty goes to the vet

On Saturday, we took my brother for his annual checkup and Mommy’s and Daddy’s annual wallet beating. I am happy to tell everyone that Monty is in perfect health. He was glad to come home because I do not think he likes to be there any longer than he has to. Later in the day he played with his girlfriend Peanut as they ran around our backyard chasing each other. Later that night Mommy and Daddy gave him a bath so now he smells clean as can be.

On Sunday, Uncle Danny came over to “help” Daddy fix the wall in the great room. Actually, it looked like Uncle Danny did most of the work. Daddy tried to help but Uncle Danny only gave him a screwdriver with a cork at the end. Although I cannot speak, Uncle Danny must have seen the confusion on my face and explained that the cork was so the Daddy did not hurt himself. A few minutes later Rupr…I mean Daddy poked himself in the eye – good thing he had that cork.

I didn’t watch them finish the wall. Mommy and Aunt Lori took me shopping for more clothes. Aunt Lori bought me a beautiful outfit that I cannot wait to wear. It also meets the length requirement dictated by Daddy so it appears to be win-win for everyone.

Aunt Lori watched me when Mommy went to the dentist today.

September 13th - Another day with friends!

Today I spent the afternoon with my good friends Lauren and Luke. Lauren's mommy is Aunt Alisa and Luke's mommy is Aunt Chiann. We went to the mall today and ate at The Cheesecake Factory. Naturally, this restaurant is a favorite of mine and will probably be so for years to come. I mean, come on! - this is the CHUBBY Chronicles.

After lunch mommy took me to get some clothes. The temperatures are starting to get a little cooler and I don't have anything that fits. Mommy took me to Gymboree and bought me some pretty outfits. Daddy really liked my clothes and he said that I would look very pretty. However, he wasn't as excited as mommy was that our purchases "earned" us bonus dollars to be used next time. Oh well. I guess he doesn't get it.

September 12, 2007 - playing with Monty, friends, new toys and my food!

I have lots of new pictures today. The first one is of Monty and I playing – I love my puppy dog so much. The next couple of pictures are of my friends and I going to lunch at California Pizza. I had a great time with my friends. In the next picture you can see me playing with my new toy that I got from my Aunt Susanne. You will notice over the course of time that I have a lot of aunts and uncles. Daddy says that aunts and uncles are effectively two groups of people. First, anyone who is a brother or sister of Mommy and Daddy is considered an aunt or uncle. Second, and perhaps most important, anyone who buys me toys can also be considered an aunt or uncle. It’s science.

Goodnight, everyone!

September 10, 2007 - out to lunch

Not much happened today. However, Mommy and I got to go to lunch with my Aunt Lori at Atlanta Bread Company. I ate some bread which is one my favorite foods. Otherwise, I was pretty upset most of the rest of the day. I am not even really sure why. I just cried and cried and was pretty miserable.

I didn’t see Daddy today. He is working late and I will be in bed when he gets home. I also have a feeling that he is going to stop by the TV store again. He took me there last weekend and what a wonderful place that is! Wow. However, he needs to just pick one and be done with it. In the time it has taken him to pick a TV I have developed a couple of teeth.

Well, I am off to bed. Have a good night.

September 9th - Weekend fun!

I woke up this morning with a big mark on my face. I forgot to mention during yesterday's message that I hurt myself with one of my toys when Grandma and Grandpa came over. Don't call child services - I am fine. However, I guess the folks at Henckels don't exactly make child friendly toys.

I got bored/hungry during the middle of the night last night and decided to call for mom and dad. Dad came the first time and fed me. A couple of hours later I summoned mommy to hold me for a while.

Today our big event was going to Target to get me some more diapers and wipes and also get my brother more dog food. After that we went to Uncle Danny's house to visit. I played with Andrew for a while and then helped Daddy eat a pudding snack. I looovvvvee pudding. While I was eating my pudding Uncle Danny told me that my legs were fat. I was going to get up and kick his a$$ but...well...my legs are too fat for me to get up.

Grandma and Grandpa took us to dinner and that was a lot of fun. I like playing with Grandpa's glasses and beard. Well, it is getting late - Daddy is watching football and I am starting to get tired so I think I need to go off to bed.

September 8th - Soccer game

Today was a busy day. We went to cousin Andrew's soccer game this morning. It was a lot of fun and Andrew's team won. After the game we all went to lunch. I ate some of Daddy's hamburger bun and then I got tired and fell asleep on him right there at the table. After we got home, Grandma and Grandpa came over and played with me while Mommy and Daddy went out to a baby shower for a few hours.

It was a long day and now I am tired. Tomorrow is going to be another busy day.

September 7th - Big drinks for Mom and Dad

I couldn't sleep last night because Mommy put me to bed early. She must have forgotten that it was the first game of the NFL season so I cried and cried until she came and got me. I watched part of the game with Daddy. He told me that the Colts were our favorite team that night and we wanted them to win by 8.5 points.

My Aunt Lori came to babysit me this afternoon and mommy went to buy flowers for the garden. She bought some pretty azaleas and roses which Daddy will plant this weekend. By the way, Aunt Lori bought me the bathing suit you can see on the front page. I get a lot of compliments on it.

Mommy and Daddy took me to dinner tonight - they ate enchiladas and chimichangas while I had a bottle. Daddy must have been very thirsty because they brought him the largest glass of green juice I have ever seen. My bottles don't have salt on the rim.

I was pretty tired after that and fell asleep on the car ride home. I have a busy day tomorrow - I am going to watch cousin Andrew play soccer and Grandma and Grandpa are coming over to visit later in the afternoon.

Good Morning - September 5th

Good morning everyone. I hope you like my pictures. As you can see, I am a very happy baby. I like to pose for the camera a lot.
