Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes

I like music. I go to music class with Mommy. I sometimes watch American Idol with Mommy and Daddy. I like to dance when Mommy or Daddy turn on the radio. I even like Mommy and Daddy's 80's music - god knows they listen to enough of it. Mommy and I also like to sing together. The attached is our favorite song. Believe me, I really do know where my nose is but unfortunately I look like a drunker who is in the process of failing a sobriety test poking myself in the eye like that.

Maybe someday I could be a dancer or singer. Mommy is a great dancer while Daddy is a worse dancer than Elaine Benes. Perhaps someday I could go to The Julliard School. Maybe I could even be on American Idol....or maybe I could be an A-Town dancer like Daddy has mentioned non-stop since coming back from the Atlanta Hawks game last night.

I want to make Mommy and Daddy proud.

Puppy Love

He's not terribly smart - he has almost died twice after eating things he wasn't supposed to. He eats my toys. He takes Daddy's shoes. Sometimes he slobbers. He barks when he wants attention.
But he is my puppy and I love him soooo much....and as you can see he loves me too.

Five Guys

Daddy and I eating at Five Guys.
Playing at Gymboree

Mommy and I at Five Guys.

High five to Five Guys!!!

Friday night Mommy and Daddy continued their progression toward being future contestants on NBC's The Biggest Loser. A big contributor to this has been their frequent visits (or should I say Daddy's frequent visits) to Five Guys. For those of you that are unaware, Five Guys makes the best cheeseburgers and fries in the world. I should mention that we went to the Five Guys location in Alpharetta, not Cumming (be careful how you Google that).

As you can see from the pictures, I love Five Guys too. While I am not big and strong like Daddy and cannot eat a whole cheeseburger, I am Kobayaski-like (Nathan's hot dog King) in my truly heroic intake of french fries.

On Saturday, Uncle Don came by to visit for a few minutes. Then Mommy took me to Gymboree for my first birthday party for one of my friends. It was sooooo much fun. Later that evening, Mommy and Daddy went to a party and Grandma and Grandpa came over to babysit me. I love playing with Grandma and I make sure that I strike a nice smile for Grandpa when he takes our picture.

Video killed the literary star

As you can see, my blog has made tremendous technological advances and now the Chubby Chronicles are in high definition video. Well, maybe not high definition just yet. I am standing more and more on my own which makes it much easier to play with Monty’s water bowl. The only thing I like more than that is diving into his food bowl while he is eating. I have also been known to eat a piece or two of his food. Ugh!

P.S. It will be tough to get that Buggles song out of your head today.

Cooking Day & the Weekend

On Friday we had cooking day at Aunt Chiann’s house. I played with my friends Luke, Donnie, and Maylen. We had a very good time playing and I was exhausted by the end of the day. Take a look at the pictures Mommy posted. Daddy was happy because of all of the food we brought home.

Saturday I went to the store with Daddy. One person commented on how much we look alike. Obviously we have heard that before and I still think that is true but I also think that I am starting to look more and more like Mommy. I think we are all pulling for that trend to continue.

On Saturday night Mommy and Daddy had friends come over - Uncle Rich and Aunt Julie. I played with Aunt Julie a little while but then I went to bed because I was pretty tired.

Today has been kind of a lazy day. I haven’t felt very well all day but Daddy and I did play a little bit and we watched a hockey game.

Happy Valentine's Day

Once upon a time, there was a 19 year-old boy busy studying for his final exams in college. In an effort to take a break from his studies and relieve a little stress he decided to go hit some golf balls at a new golf course that opened up near his university. As he got to the counter at the course, he noticed a cute little 17 year-old girl behind the counter with long red hair. That day was a simple hello and good-bye but the boy found himself drawn to the course and each day afterwards (so much for his final exams) he went to hit golf balls. After checking with his current girlfriend to see if it was okay, on the 3rd day or so he mustered up the courage to ask the girl out on a date.

The girl said yes (without checking with her current boyfriend) but then proceeded to cancel their first two dates just prior to the time when the boy was going to go pick her up. She finally relented on the third try and they had their first date at a Chili’s. They did not see each other for two and a half months after that (the spring semester ended) but began dating the following fall when school started again.

And that’s how Mommy and Daddy fell in love.

Crazy hair and crazy shoes!

I know you are used to my pretty bows and hair accessories but I don't wake up that way. (Check out my messy hair in the video). Here is a little of my morning routine in my pj's before my bath. I keep telling mommy to put her shoes away!

That's one small step for man; one giant leap for mankind

I officially took my first steps today. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of me. I am getting more and more confident so I think I will be able to really walk in another week or so. In two weeks, I’ll probably be running. By March I will move on to the foxtrot, tango, waltz, and quickstep. Daddy says we have a lot of work to do this summer. He keeps mumbling about the 2020 Olympics.

On Saturday night we went to dinner with Grandma and Grandpa. As always, I had a good time at the restaurant. After dinner Daddy and I went home but Mommy and the other real housewives of Forsyth and Cherokee counties (hi Aunt Megan!, Aunt Jill!) went out for apple martinis with their friends in the big city(hi Aunt Kim!, Aunt Sherri!, and Uncle Paul!). While they were out Daddy and I played together and then I went to bed. However, I did get a little bored at around midnight and decided to join Daddy for a little television.

The next morning Mommy noticed that I had a little scratch under my eye but neither Daddy nor I would tell her how it happened. The first rule of fight club is that we do not talk about fight club.

Last night we watched a little of the Grammy Awards. I fell asleep during Aretha Franklin’s four-hour performance but I understand that Amy Winehouse had a good night.

Baby's got back...

Mommy had a little fun with me today during bath time and got a couple of pictures of me facing the other way. Sir Mix-A-Lot would be proud of me and I’ll just leave it at that because this is a family blog.

Anyway, I love bath time and you can see how happy I am in the tub playing with my toys. After I got cleaned up Mommy and I went to the outlets with my friend Luke and Aunt Chiann.

Superbowl Sunday

What a game!!! I was yelling, cheering and booing as loud as I could. And that was just for my favorite color commentator Troy Aikman whose jersey you see me wearing. Eli Manning was wonderful in leading the Giants to victory over the Patriots. I was nervous at the end but the Giants held on. My favorite commercial was the one with the dalmatian training the horse.
