Ballet December recital and Wacky Wednesday in February

I was watching the news as I like to do from time to time and they were showing video of people running around in the streets, throwing rocks, setting things on fire, and beating each other up.  It looked a lot like Philadelphia to me but Daddy told me that it was Tripoli, Libya.  The man on the television said the dictator lost control.  I had never heard the word “dictator” before so I asked Daddy what that meant.  He looked around very sneaky-like and then leaned over to speak to me.  He started to speak very softly and then all of the sudden Mommy came downstairs and Daddy immediately shut up and went back to working on his computer.  So, hmmm, I still don’t know what a dictator is.

While we normally like to keep the blog in chronological order we forgot to discuss the first real dance performance of my career back in December. It was a wonderful performance if I do say so myself, and I am slowly getting over my case of stage fright. I am still pretty scared performing in front of people but Mommy and Daddy were very proud of me and gave me flowers at the end of the performance. There are also recent pictures from this week of ballet that was themed “Wacky Wednesday”. We were able to dress in all kinds of crazy colors and such to make the class fun. You can see my friend, Leah and I in the pictures with our crazy ballet outfits.

Speaking of dancing, Ty is starting to develop some moves. Like me, he loves to dance. Even in a store or restaurant where music is playing, Ty wants to hit the floor and shake his butt. He has a few different moves now so maybe we can post some video at some point. He is getting bigger everyday and is developing into the typical boy smashing his toys and throwing food. He loves pasta with sauce, making a huge mess, and riding his dump truck. Like I said, all boy although I sometime make him wear my headbands and bracelets just for fun.

Valentine's Day

At school this year I had to make a lot of Valentines for all of my boyfriends. The nice part about Valentine’s Day is that I can let certain boys know that I have a crush on them and if they play hard to get I am still bigger than all of them so I can force them to like me. It took a long time to create all of my Valentines. At my age there is a certain cuteness and innocence involved with the Valentine’s Day process that will cease to exist when I reach high school and beyond. I can sometimes see that I may have problems with Daddy when I start dating in the future. But Daddy assured me that he would be supportive of me even when I have crushes on boys that may not be good for me. He gave me a big hug and a kiss and told me “just make sure you don’t like the first guy too much”. A little puzzled I asked him why and he told me “because I am going to kill him and hope that word gets around”. Always supportive.

This year for Valentine’s Day we just had a quiet dinner at home. Daddy and I brought Mommy some roses and Daddy brought Mommy and I dinner.
