Family Ties

Today I spent time with my 2nd cousins Matthew, Lexie, and Andrew. You can see us posing for pictures above. Matthew and Lexie live in Delaware so I do not get to see them much. You can see Lexie and I posing – us girls need to stick together in a family full of boys. Matthew and I also had a moment of reflection about the downfall of the Cowboys.

Happy Easter

As cynical as I was a few months back about Santa Claus, I was very happy to meet him at the mall. I sat in his lap and told him what I wanted for Christmas and listened intently to everything Santa had to say.

On Saturday, Mommy and Daddy took me back to the mall to meet the Easter Bunny. On a happiness scale of 1 to 10, (with 10 being the happiest), I think I would rate my trip to see the Easter Bunny about a minus 5. I cried almost immediately and grabbed Daddy like a koala bear. Daddy was able to pry me away and place me in the arms of the monstrous mammal but I was scared out of my mind and sobbing uncontrollably.

At that point, Mommy and Daddy decided to downgrade the photo package they previously selected. Still, the woman at the register trying to sell us more pictures said “I just love the pictures when the children are crying.” Yeah, that makes sense psycho-lady. Maybe I’ll change my opinion next year but right now a six foot bunny who lays eggs is about the scariest thing I can think of.

On Sunday we went to Grandma and Grandpa’s house. You can see me collecting eggs in their yard. It was a nice day and I ate a lot. Grandma is a good cook.

Attention all shoppers!

I was a little bored in our shopping buggy so Mommy and Daddy decided to let me out to walk around. Wow, what a big store Wal-Mart is!!!! They had some sales in the clothing aisle so that is where I spent most of my time. I got a lot of attention from the other shoppers as it is pretty obvious that I am just beginning to walk. It is odd how Daddy is nowhere to be found when I get attention from most people but when a pretty woman comes by to say hello Daddy is always there. Hmmmm.

Happy St. Patty's Day

Today I went to a birthday party at The Music Class. We did a lot of singing and dancing. It was a very nice time. Check out the pictures.

I wore my green today so nobody pinched me. By the way, my shirt says “Daddy’s Lady Luck”.

These shoes are made for walking

Look at me, I can walk! I can use my little legs to walk across the room with my book so that Mommy can read to me. I love my books and Mommy reads to me all of the time. I am going to be soooo smart and make Mommy and Daddy proud. However, when I am done with my reading and while Mommy isn't looking I also like to cut loose and watch television shows requiring minimal mental capacity. Take for instance what is on television in the video. If you look closely you will notice that it appears to be paused on a television show that contains a studio audience. A daytime show with a studio audience? You know that has to be good stuff.

Who knows, maybe the next word I will learn after "Mommy" and "Daddy" is JERRY! JERRY! JERRY! JERRY!!!!!!

Take care of yourselves, and each other.

Come Luke, Come Over to the Dark Side

My friend Luke came over to play with me. He's one of my best friends. We played in my playroom all day while Mommy was asleep on the couch (just kidding). Anyway, we laughed and played with my toys, read books, talked about life, and watched tv. After much negotiation, I agreed to watch Fox News for a little while and Luke agreed to watch CNBC and the Food Network. We celebrated with a hug as you can see in one of the pictures below.
