Home Alone

Mommy and Daddy went away for the first time without me, to Las Vegas. They saw a show at the Bellagio, one of Terry Benedict’s casinos, did some shopping, ate a lot, and also did some gambling. I am not sure how they did at the gambling part but when they got back Daddy told me that he hoped that I liked my shoes because I will be wearing them until I am 7 years old.

During their weekend away, Aunt Lori came over to watch me and Grandma and Grandpa helped as well. Aunt Lori kept me very busy running to different places and meeting different people. I had a lot of fun with Aunt Lori – she took very good care of me.

Toddler Bed

Mommy and Daddy recently converted my crib to a toddler bed. They really didn’t want to move me to the toddler bed but I didn’t like my crib anymore so it was necessary that we reach some sort of agreement. In this case, they agreed to set up the toddler bed and I agreed not to get so angry that I would either jump out of the crib or vomit on cue. With my new bed at least now I won’t damage my beautiful face and 175 IQ.

Halloween 2008 - The White Tiger

Early in the day I went to a party at my friend Tyler’s house. We all dressed up in our costumes and played together. You can see Kennedy (dressed as Princess Leia) and I below.

My first real night of trick-or-treating was a great success. Aunt Lori and Grandma came with us as we went panhandling for candy to 7 or 8 houses in our neighborhood. Everybody was so impressed with my white tiger costume and I got lots of candy!

I saw many kids dressed up as all kinds of things. Even some of the adults were dressed up. Two adults in particular were dressed in full costumes, faces painted as well. I believe one of the men said that he was a Sith Lord and he waved a really cool lightsabre. I asked Daddy what a Sith Lord is and he told me that it is a mentally disturbed middle-aged man who doesn’t talk to girls without providing a major credit card.

Hope everyone had a happy Halloween.

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

It is almost time for Halloween and it is awfully scary out there. All of the sudden the weather has gotten colder here in hot-lanta and it is getting darker much earlier. The wind has been whipping viciously making it feel even colder. It is a good thing that my costume is very warm. I am going to be a white tiger, a costume that I wasn’t that fond of at first but now I have grown to accept.

There are some other scary things out there as well. First, I don’t know why but my toys have begun to make noises in the middle of the night….for no apparent reason. Second, Daddy’s truly heroic consumption of Halloween candy is a bit scary. Third, the people on CNBC have been even scarier than usual with their talk of crashes and recessions, and bears. Daddy says that if this keeps up he and Mommy will still have enough money to send me to college but it will be either clown or barber college, not the university kind.

And the scariest thing of all is that right now is that I wish Will Ferrell and Tina Fey were running for President and Vice President instead of the other choices.

To take my mind off these scary things, Mommy and I visited Berry Patch Farms with my MOPS group (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers). You can see Tyler, Luke, and Maylen in a lot of the pictures below.

Music Class on Wednesday's

Tyler and I at "The Music Class".

We go to class each Wednesday. We play instruments, sing, and dance with our Mommies. This Wednesday is our last class. Maybe will will take another music class next year. We have moved on and we are taking swimming lessons at the YMCA on Tuesday's and Thursday's. I guess I should start looking for a new daily planner at Target to keep track of next years events!

My trip to Pennsylvania

Last week Mommy and I visited Pennsylvania, the state with 21 electoral votes whose voters are likely to vote for change in early November. Mommy and I got to see the entire family and you can see some of the pictures from our trip below. Daddy didn’t come with us. He went on his annual trip to South Carolina, the state with 8 electoral votes whose voters are likely to vote for mavericks and Tina Fey.
