Oh my goodness, Halloween was wonderful.
First, I went to visit my playgroup and we had our own little Halloween party. Then when I came home, it was time to trick-or-treat. Grandma and Aunt Lori came over to help me with my first outing for candy. As was the case on Saturday, everyone loved my Monkey costume. We only went to a few houses in the neighborhood but I got lots of candy. Daddy even got a tasty scotch at one of the houses we visited. When we came home, I played with Aunt Lori a little bit.
We also dished out our fair share of candy to the other kids. In the beginning, we received a lot of visitors with cute costumes who yelled “TRICK-OR-TREAT” as loud as they could. Toward the end of the evening we received a lot of “kids” that were not dressed up at all. They did not yell “trick-or-treat” either – it sounded more like “Whatsup” when they came to the door.
Just before bedtime, I watched Charlie and The Chocolate Factory with Daddy. Today was just candy, candy, and more candy.

Happy Halloween
Mommy and I at our playgroup Halloween party.
Darkness falls across the land
The midnite hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize yawls neighbourhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpses shell
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzy ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller
It's either the evil of the thriller that will get you or Michael's plastic surgeon. Nonetheless, Happy Halloween! Mommy will post pictures later.

Block party
On Saturday we had our Halloween block party in the neighborhood. It was a lot of fun. As you can see my costume this year is a monkey. Everybody thought that I looked so cute. This Wednesday is the big day. I am going to get dressed up in my costume again and take to the streets panhandling for candy.

Pippi No Stocking
As you see me stripping off my socks the fictional character Pippi Longstocking comes to mind. While I am not terribly familiar with her adventures my research reveals that we have a lot in common. For example, she is often thought of as being very intelligent and exceptionally strong – like me of course. Also, my understanding is that her father was a seafarer named Captain Longstocking who washed ashore an island and was referred to as “fat white chief” by the island’s natives. We have a fat white chief in our house too.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream
Hummm... give me more Daddy.
Kennedy and I playing with straws.
Mommy and I at lunch with our playgroup.
Tyler is holding my hand!
Today Mommy took me to Nordstrom's where we had lunch with my play group and then we went shopping. (You can see how the boys just love the rolls in my hands and have to touch them in the picture with Tyler). I'm glad Mommy took me shopping because I have had a rough time last night. I have another tooth coming in and it kept me up a lot of the night. Therefore, a little shopping really hit the spot. While we were shopping, Daddy continued to work himself into an early grave.
When Daddy came home we had a wonderful evening together. First, we had vanilla ice cream - this was my first taste of ice cream and I loved it. Then we watched a hockey game together. Boy, that was delightful.

They just have to take my picture!
Here I am with my Aunt Lori. She came by to visit me the other day. You can see that I really need to stop having my picture taken.
Speaking of that, I forgot to tell you about yesterday! I was at Babies R Us with Mommy and their picture studio people asked Mommy if they could take my picture because I was so "juicy". Mommy said it was close to my nap time but they could try if they wanted. I had to give them a show so I flashed them a smile and knocked them out with my standing ability. If you would like to see my photo shoot please visit it. The info is below:

I'm getting there!
I'm on the cusp of this thing called crawling. Inch by inch I am starting to move around a little. There is only so far a girl can stretch. A couple of days ago I wanted to read Mommy's US magazine and I stretched and stretched until I finally got myself to the magazine. It would be easier if these legs would move a little more but I think that I am close. Nonetheless, I got to the magazine and was able to read about all of the latest news regarding Britney, Lindsey and the others in tinsel town. By the way, if you write a hit song about not wanting to go to rehab, chances are that it is not just a song and you may have a drug problem (See Amy Winehouse).
I am also beginning to stand on my own a little - I have had several pictures taken of me just standing (of course while keeping my balance on a table). Maybe Mommy will post some of these soon.
On Sunday Great Grandma came over with Grandma and Grandpa for dinner. We had pot roast - it was yummy. Oh, that's right, you can add pot roast, lasagna, and potatoes to the big girl foods I mastered this week.

Hanging with Daddy
Well, Mommy and I went to visit Daddy at work and it was a lot of fun. We got to meet many of the people Daddy works with. The best part was that somebody else also brought their daughter to work so we got to play together for a few minutes. (There are not pictures of my visit because I had a little, okay huge, meltdown before leaving Daddy's work. Oh well, they will get over it).
Today we went to the YMCA. Mommy and Daddy worked out while I played with the other kids. In the afternoon we went for a walk before Mommy went to meet some friends for dinner. (I told Mommy it would be okay this one time to post a picture without me in it. She was with our Mother and baby playgroup so it is fine). Daddy and I played together while Mommy was gone. We also watching a hockey game and a couple of college football games - talk about boring!!! It was a pretty exhausting day so I am going to bed early tonight.
Tomorrow Great Grandma, Grandma, and Grandpa are going to come over for dinner.

A visit with Great-Grandma Sophie
Today I went to visit Great Grandma. She is going to be ninety-two years old in a couple of months.....Greaaat Success! She grew up in the Ukraine which is not too far from Kazakhstan. You can see me playing with Grandma in the pictures below.
Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. I am going to visit Daddy at work. Actually, Mommy and I are going to visit Daddy at one of his clients so I need to be on my best behavior. When Daddy came home this evening he laid out a lot of ground rules for our visit - No crying, no screaming, no spitting or vomiting, no pulling hair, no taking clothes off. It is a lot to remember so I really hope Mommy is good tomorrow.

I'll be there for you, when the rain starts to pour....
Today Mommy took me to visit my friends at a coffee shop designed for play-dates such as ours. Coffee shops were once dominated by tie-dye wearing, tree-hugging college students and others who could enjoy a nice cup of java while listening to the folk songs and political satire of some other misdirected soul. This all changed a while back with the hit TV show Friends and Starbucks. Now coffee shops are cool places to hang out. This one is specifically designed for parents and kids. I had a very good time with my friends today and I always like playing with them as you can see from the pictures.
Tonight I wasn’t very interested with my dinner but I did try something new that was on Mommy’s and Daddy’s plates – stuffing! Wow, this stuff is pretty good although I understand that my Great Aunt Helen makes the best stuffing in the world. I can’t wait until Thanksgiving.

In case I haven’t mentioned it, I am cutting another tooth right now – it really isn’t a lot of fun but the more teeth I get, the more foods I can eat!!!

Uncle Shucks
Today Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma took me to Uncle Shucks, a small farm north of where we live. We ate hot dogs and funnel cake and picked out two beautiful pumpkins for our house. Grandma picked out an enormous one for her house. It was really a lot of fun and I think Mommy got a lot of good pictures.
I am a little too young to ride the ponies or walk through the haunted maze in the corn fields but someday I will be able to do those things.

Good friends and good times
Okay, I am back - Pennsylvania was wonderful except for all of those Eagles fans. Boy, they are an obnoxious bunch. I spent nearly all of my time with family and saw as many people as I possibly could and even still I missed a few people that I wanted to see. Mommy separated the pictures into two groups so please take a look at both sets. You can see me with Aunt Barb, Michael, Grammy, Riley (puppy), Grandpa, Uncle Greg, and Great Aunt Shirley. You can also see me playing with my friend Braeden. I had to head-butt him once to get one of my toys back but you can see that we quickly made up. Mommy also had her picture taken with Stacey. They kept drinking apple juice out of those fancy glasses??
One of the pictures shows me with a bottle of Wild Turkey. My friends tell me that this is not an original joke and it has happened to them as well. That is, at some point during the first year of one's life some adult will invariably stick a liquor bottle in front of you thinking that they have invented comedy with this little prank. Well, I suppose this was my time. Bravo adults!
While I was gone my beloved Yankees were eliminated from the postseason but the Cowboys are playing well. Also, hockey season started which is really what Daddy and I get excited for. Speaking of Daddy, I spoke to him several times while we were away. He was also away as he spent a few days in South Carolina playing golf with Grandpa Joe and a bunch of other people.
While it was nice to be away, I am glad that I am home. I missed Daddy and my puppy Monty. By the way, I am finally starting to move around a little – not yet crawling but I am able to slink myself a few feet here and there.
Tomorrow we are going to the pumpkin patch. Halloween is coming soon and I understand that we need pumpkins and costumes to ward off the evil spirits that will come to our house on the eve of November 1st. Most others who come to visit will get candy. The hooligans will get pepper spray.
