I am traveling this week to visit Grammy and some new friends in Pennsylvania. As a result, we will not have any new pictures for a few days. Nonetheless, I thought that I would take a moment to share with you my favorite movie. I do not actually watch a lot of TV. It really hasn’t interested me just yet aside from the heroic amount of hockey Daddy and I watch together. Nonetheless, there is one movie, or really a 5 minute part thereof that makes me stop in my tracks and keeps me occupied no matter what else is going on. The movie is “Just Friends” starring Ryan Reynolds and Anna Farris. I am totally infatuated with Anna Farris’ character (Samantha James). As soon as she is not in a scene, I lose interest and go back to playing with Monty.
All Mommy or Daddy need to do is to go to my favorite part and they buy themselves 5 minutes. Here is a sample of my favorite part. With this kind of parenting, do I really have a chance?

Yard Work
This spring I have joined Daddy working in the yard. Recently, I helped him spread some pine straw in the garden. That was a good time. Right now, however, my skills are limited to this task. I am not allowed to cut things because I may hurt myself. I am not allowed to spray the chemicals because Daddy says he doesn’t want a full-grown, three foot daughter. I am not allowed to go near the roses because they have sharp needles. I am not allowed to cut the lawn because that enormous machine is too big for me to push. However, these are all things I have to look forward to when I get older. See the picture below – no that’s not Augusta National Golf Club. I know it is an easy mistake but that is our yard.
Earth Day
Today we celebrated “Earth Day” by going to the Atlanta Botanical Garden. I think it is somewhat ironic that we traveled 35 miles each way in our gas guzzling SUV to do so but that is another story. We went to a sing-along with my friends Tyler and Kennedy and I had a lot of fun. Take a look at the pictures.
Grillin and Chillin
I know I have mentioned this before but aunts and uncles fall into two categories for me. An Uncle is generally your Mommy or Daddy’s brother. Now, if you live in Mississippi and your uncle is also your Daddy, I can’t help you – just keep reading. However, anyone who gives me a gift is also called an aunt or uncle. Thus, on Saturday we went to see Uncle Rich and Aunt Julie who gave me a talking puppy stuffed animal. I love my talking puppy and I have been playing with him a lot.
We spent Saturday eating and hanging out at Rich and Julie’s house and I fell asleep on the way home. On Sunday, Grandma and Grandpa came over to watch me while Mommy and Daddy went out. I always like playing with Grandma and Grandpa.

Monkey See, Monkey Do
Aunt Jamie came to visit Aunt Lori this weekend for Aunt Lori’s last week living in the Peach State. They traveled to Aunt Lori’s new home in Florida for a brief visit. Yes, for those of you who have not heard, my Aunt Lori is moving to the Sunshine state. She will miss my development into a young girl and young woman. I doubt I will even remember who she is after a few months.
Daddy and I watched a lot of hockey and I mean a lot of hockey during the past week. Our beloved Blueshirts are off to a good start in the playoffs thus far and we cheer very hard for them each game.
I had another birthday party over the weekend which was a lot of fun. You can see the pictures below.
Today we went to the zoo with my friends. Wow, what a place that is – lots of creatures trapped behind fences living sedentary lives while shoveling food into their faces on a continuous basis. It is nice to see these wild animals in their natural habitat. We also went to see the pandas Lun Lun, and Mei Lan. They don’t do a whole lot. They sleep most of the day and when they are awake they eat bamboo and just sort of sit there. When we left, Mommy told me we were going bye, bye so we could see Mei Lan Da Da at home.
I hope everyone had a nice April 15th. Make sure you give your tax preparer a big kiss.

If I'm Not Pretty, I Don't Post
My apologies for the long layoff between posts. As I was climbing up the stairs I fell and hit my head. As a result, I had a rather nasty black eye and even had some bruising on the other side of my nose. During the past two weeks, we have run into two distinct groups of people. There are those who look at me and look back to when their children had a similar event. Then are those who look at me, and then look at Mommy and Daddy with disgust. It doesn't help that when these people show their scorn Daddy shrugs his shoulders and points at Mommy.
Suffice to say, when I don't look pretty, I don't like to post pictures of myself. Good news though - I am pretty much healed up so we should have some pictures soon.
