Walt Disney World

When I got off the monorail and entered the Magic Kingdom I died and went to heaven. Last week we spent the weekend in Disney World and spent each day at the Magic Kingdom. On Day 1, after a quick 8 hour drive with my screaming brother we made our way to the park. It was chilly that first evening but we still made it to a few rides, dinner, and the evening parade. By the time the parade ended, it was downright cold and we headed back to the hotel. We were all exhausted so we all were looking forward to going to bed. I curled up with Daddy in one of the beds and Mommy slept in the other bed. In the middle of the night I decided to join Mommy in her bed because I wanted to share my love with both Mommy and Daddy. Oh yeah, I also went pee pee in Daddy’s bed which he later discovered when he rolled over later that night. Ty was up part of the night as he caught a cold from being in the freezing temperatures. So the next morning as Daddy was trying to get the smell of piss out of his nose and sound of my sick brother out of his ears, I thought he was going to choke the nice lady who handed him his waffles and said “have a magical day”.

After a somewhat rocky first night, the next 2 days were absolutely wonderful. During the mornings Daddy stayed with Ty while Mommy and I ran to park and went on a bunch of rides before it got crowded. When Ty and Daddy joined us we ate lunch, went on more rides, and visited the different parts of the Magic Kingdom. I am still not thrilled with seeing characters in full costumes (e.g. Mickey, Pluto, Mr. Incredible) but I love real people like Cinderella, Snow White, and Jasmine. Jasmine and Aladdin were my favorites and I gave each of them a big hug. Ty loved the music at the park and he absolutely loved the parades. He also loved riding the monorail each day.

With all of the fun Ty and I had I almost forgot that Disney is also a wonderful place for adults. For example, when Ty and I went to bed on the 2nd night, Mommy snuck downstairs and got some sushi at the restaurant and brought it back to the room. Our room wasn’t very big and not wanting to risk waking either of us up, Mommy and Daddy had a romantic dinner eating in the bathroom. It really was a magical day!

On our last night we saw the fireworks show at the castle. It was amazing. Even Mommy and Daddy had forgotten how much they loved Disney when they were kids. It was truly an amazing weekend and I can’t wait to go back.

Ty and I both had our portraits done in Disney.  They both turned out great.  Ty was a bit fussy during his but it was worth it.

This is as close as I was going to get to Pluto.  He is far, far behind me.  I don't "do" pictures with the big characters.  Maybe next year.

Snow Day X 5

So you may have heard the south had a bad snow storm right after my 4th birthday.  We did have a bit of snow last year but nothing like we had this year.  We had about 6 inches of the white stuff!  That is unheard of in GA!  Mommy and Daddy said they have never seen this much snow in GA over the past 11 years.  I thought it was awesome, Ty thought it was terrible.  He just doesn't understand the fun of getting snow in your boots and all over your face.  I guess I can teach him how to play in it if it ever snows this much again.  Daddy, Mommy and I went tubing down our driveway.  Nobody seems to like our very steep driveway but it was perfect for sliding down.  (We did have to watch out for our large brick mailbox at the end.  I think running into it would really hurt). 

We ended up being stuck in the house for 5 days!  GA is just not a state that can handle snow and ice.  We played a lot of games, watched movies, drank hot chocolate and got on Mommy's nerves the best we could.  (Daddy worked from home all 5 days and I think he kept hiding from us to try and get some quiet time).  Mommy kept saying she moved south for a reason and this wasn't it.  I am not sure what that meant but she seemed to get angrier about the snow each day.

P.S.  Mommy is much better at sledding than Daddy.  Sorry Daddy.

Mommy, Daddy, Ty, Grammy, Aunt Lori, and Uncle Greg and I went to Mexican to celebrate my birthday that night.  They sang to me in Spanish and as you can see I got to wear the special hat!

On January 8, 2011 I turned four years old!  It has been a long journey but now I am a "big girl".  I have told Mommy I can do "big girl" things like, wear red nail polish and get two Guinea pigs.  (I want to name the Guinea pigs Sparkle and Ariel).  I have told Daddy I want to get my ears pierced because I am a big girl! He never seems to hear me when I ask about the ear piercing thing.  

My party was at Monkey Joe's.  They have the large inflatable slides and jumpy things that all of my friends and I love.  It was myself, 16 of my closest kid friends and family.  My theme was unicorns this year.  I just love unicorns and the color purple!  Notice my shirt with purple in it.  Grammy and Uncle Greg came from PA but had to fly home a day early because of the snow we had in GA, yes SNOW.  Look for another blog about the snow.  A great time was had by all and I love being four!
